Please note that the University of Florida considers classroom performance an excellent indicator of college coursework success, and therefore places more emphasis on grades and the challenge of the high school curriculum (including the senior-year schedule).
It is important for the applicant to know that many factors are considered in the admissions process. While some applicants will be admitted to UF based primarily on their academic background, the majority will have a thorough review of academic and non-academic information. Freshman applicants are required to submit essays, personal profiles and extracurricular achievement listings.

Florida Gulf Coast University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers numerous scholarships for incoming freshman and transfer students. We suggest applying to the University early as our scholarships are competitive and most are awarded early in the admission cycle. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee a scholarship. Additional scholarships are available through the Office of Financial Aid, who administers the Foundation Scholarships (March 1st deadline):
